<p>PURPOSE: To obtain an aqueous ink composition suitable for ink jet recording, giving a bleeding-free ink image with high water resistance without nozzle clogging by dispersing particles of a specific insoluble cross-linked polymer in an aqueous medium containing an oil-soluble dye. CONSTITUTION: This ink composition is obtained by dispersing particles of a cross-linked polymer comprising 2.0-10.0wt.% of a polyfunctional monomer and a monofunctional monomer and being insoluble in the following medium in an aqueous medium containing an oil-soluble dye and preferably containing a plasticizer. The monofunctional monomer is preferably a styrene monomer and/or (meth)acrylic monomer. The volume-average particle size of the polymer particles is preferably in a range of submicrons.</p> |
