PURPOSE: To make an air bag used as a cushioning material or a packing available for being inflated in an annular polygon shape with air injected by a method wherein individual inflatable parts of the air bag are formed as divided sections with sealed bending lines provided between each of partition lines transversing the air bag. CONSTITUTION: With a self-sealing air-injection tube 11 arranged between two films on the surface and the reverse side along the edge on one side of the films, sealing is made by heat sealing on edges of both sides of the films, and thereby sealed-up edges 3 are formed on the films to be used for an air bag inflatable into a shape of triangular linkage. On joining the sealed-up edges together, the sealed-up edge 3 on one side is made to protrude beyond the sealed-up edge on the other side to form a joining flange 10. With the sealed-up edges 3 on both sides joined together with the joining flange 10, the air bag is made up in the form of linkage. A number of paired trnasversing partition lines 5 and 6 are formed by heat sealing, crossing both of the sealed-up edges 3, 4, and thereby independent inflatable parts 7 are formed successively with sealed bending lines 8-1, 8-2 formed between each of the partition lines 5 and 6 demarcating the inflatable parts 7. |
