PURPOSE: To provide a method for printing by solid coating on a tape-like record medium without generating un-coated parts at both edges or front and back ends of the tape-like record medium by using an ink jet head. CONSTITUTION: In a surface of a tape-like record medium T whose width is previously decided, a part whose width is narrower than the width of the tape is an actual image receiving face 311, and its both sides are made to be dummy image receiving faces 313a and 314a. In operation for solid coat printing, solid coat printing is performed ranging from the edges of the image receiving face 311 to the dummy image receiving faces 313a, 314a at the outsides of the edges of the image receiving face in its cross direction. After the solid coat printing, only a part 312 of the image receiving face at the central part is peeled off from a release paper 303 along cutting lines 315 and 316 by leaving unnecessary dummy parts 313, 314 at right and left. The peeled image receiving part 312 can be adhered to an optional place as a printed piece of the tape-like record medium which is printed by solid coating and whose both edge parts are coated entirely without un-coated parts. |
