PURPOSE: To bag and package a viscous material in the form of a square floor bag. CONSTITUTION: A packaging tube H suspended from a product-charging cylinder 2 is shaped into a square tube by a guide member 25 suspended from the product- charging cylinder 2. Downward of the guide member 25, the packaging tube H is gusseted at each side thereof, thereafter being sealed at two lateral stripes and cut at the center unsealed part between the two lateral stripes over the full width thereof by a laterally sealing and cutting device. The laterally sealing and cutting device is raised to come close to the guide member 25, whereby a square floor is formed by developing the inward gusseted parts on both sides into a triangle planar form. Charging of a viscous material P from a viscous material-charging pipe 24a is started. When the square floor surface of the packaging tube H is filled with a required amount of viscous material, the laterally sealing and cutting device is lowered at a required speed determined in accordance with the charging amount of the viscous material to pull down the packaging tube H. After the bag is filled with the viscous material P for one bag, the packaging tube H is still pulled down by a required dimension. After that, the laterally sealing and cutting device is opened and raised to be returned to a home position. |
