PURPOSE: To make improvement in the safety of vertical parking facilities in time of an earthquake and a strong wind by installing an engaging means, engaging pallets, in both front and rear parts of a sheld rail. CONSTITUTION: A lock pin 5 extending in the admission direction is installed in the front part of a shelf rail 2, while a lock hole 1B for inserting this lock pin 5 is also installed in a front part 1A of a pallet 1. Next, when this pallet 1 gets into the shelf rail 2 and a roller 4 comes into contact with a car stop 27, the lock pin 5 is inserted into the lock hole 1B, whereby the pallet 1 and the shelf rail 2 are engaged with each other. In addition, a solenoid 3 is installed in a rear part of the shelf rail 2 so as to make a solenoid pin 6 extend in a direction orthogonal in the admission direction of the pallet 2. Then this solenoid pin 6 is made so as to be insertable into the lock hole of a lock plate 7 installed beneath the pallet 1, whereby the pallet 1 and the shelf rail 2 and be engaged with each other. |
