SUBSTANCE: prior to connecting resistor to storage cell, polarization is eliminated by applying voltage to its electrodes corresponding to its equilibrium electromotive force measured by means of two electrodes additionally inserted in electrolyte. EFFECT: improved accuracy and speed in determining current- voltage characteristic of storage cell due to eliminating polarization in process.
