PURPOSE:To always lock-up under optimum conditions by providing two spool valves and controlling same to perform lock-up operation only when a speed change mechanism is located at a designated shift position, and a car speed comes to above a specified car speed. CONSTITUTION:A lock-up control device 2 is adapted to separate a direct coupled clutch by supplying operation oil from an oil path L to a lock-up oil chamber in a torque converter with a lock-up mechanism. The lock-up control device 2 comprises the first and second spool valves 30, 31. The first spool valve 30 is constructed so that when governor pressure A according to a car speed is more than a designated value, a spool 32 is moved to the left against a spring 60, and front clutch pressure B is supplied as an operation signal G from a flow- out port 37 to a port 43 of the second spool valve 31. On the other hand, the second spool valve 31 is constructed so that when the operation signal G is more than a designated value, a spool 40 is moved to the left against a spring 48, and converter operating oil pressure H is supplied to the oil path L. |
