PURPOSE: To obtain a plant-culturing box made of a plastics which has enhanced water retention and can be arranged detachably on terrace floors or garden floors. CONSTITUTION: In this plant-culturing box which is made of a plastics and can be arranged on terrace floors or garden floors freely detachably, the top periphery of the quadrangle-shaped box is folded outside so that it may have the horizontally flat part followed by the drop ear continuously to form the double-framed wall on the upper part of the culturing box where reinforcing ribs are formed at a prescribed interval from the inner wall of the double-layered wall to the drop-ear lobe. Additionally, the bottom-reinforcing ribs are formed beneath the outer bottom in a lattice pattern crossing each other in the longitudinal and lateral directions, while trapezoidal projections each having a through hole at its top are formed on the inner bottom at the positions surrounded with the bottom-reinforcing ribs. Even when it is hung on a thick root, this box surely support the weight of the plant including the compost and has the strength enough to overcome the stress to strongly pull into the inside of the box, for example, when they are transported by hand. Since a water retention mechanism is set to the inner bottom, watering and water retention can be easily controlled. |
