PURPOSE: To obtain an industrial antiseptic and antifungal agent capable of preventing the generation of various microorganisms for a long period by using (±)-allyl 1-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)-2-imidazol-1-ylethyl ether or its salt and an alkylbenzenesulfonate in combination. CONSTITUTION: This new industrial antiseptic and antifungal agent contains two kinds of (±)-allyl 1-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)-1-imidazol-1-ylethyl ether of formula I or its salt and an alkylbenzenesulfonate of formula II (R is an alkyl; M is an alkali metal, an alkaline earth metal, ammonium or an organic amine) as active ingredients and is useful for preventing various microorganisms capable of deteriorating industrial raw materials or products from generating for a long period. The active ingredients in the industrial antispectic and antifungal agent can be contained in an amount within the range of 0.1-90wt.% in the case of a wettable powder, an emulsion, a solution and a flowable formulation. In this case, 0.1-50 pts.wt., preferably 0.2-5 pts.wt. compound of formula II is preferably mixed with 1 pt.wt. compound of formula I. |
