PURPOSE: To provide possibility of using a small and inexpensive motor by supporting a damper by a moving shaft and a supporting shaft, and lessening the torque required of the moving shaft which rotates the damper. CONSTITUTION: In a damper driving mechanism 1 of an air conditioner 2 for car, the wind quantity heated by a heater core 6 is changed by rotating an air mix damper 5. and thereby the blowing temp. is adjusted. A supporting shaft 9 is mounted at one side of the damper 5, and at the other side, a moving shaft 10 is installed parallel with the supporting shaft 9. The two ends of the supporting shaft 9 are rotatably fitted in a mounting hole 12 formed in the wall 11 of a casing constituting a wind duct 3, and the two ends of the moving shaft 10 are movably fitted in a guide groove 13 formed in the wall along a locus which the moving shaft 10 draws while the supporting shaft 9 is used as fulcrum. When a motor 15 is operated to rotate a drive lever 18 a certain angle, the moving shaft 10 engaged by a long hole 17 in the drive lever 18 is moved within the guide hole 13, and the damper 5 is rotated while the supporting shaft 9 is used as fulcrum.
