Azo dyes of the formula <IMAGE> where D is the radical of a diazo component, and X is substituted or unsubstituted C2-C8-alkylene, in the form of the free acid or its salts, the use thereof for dyeing or printing natural or synthetic substrates, sulfopyridones as coupling components for these dyes, and a process for preparing them.
