FIELD: shipbuilding; rendering assistance to damage ships in open sea. SUBSTANCE: upper structure of catamaran is made in form of ballasted pontoon whose upper deck is provided with pontoon strips. Side walls containing watertight compartments and compartments to be ballasted are mounted on sides of pontoon. Under- surface hulls and vertical struts are divided into watertight compartments and compartments to be ballasted. Total volume of compartments to be ballasted is no less than total reserve of buoyancy of vertical struts and under-surface hulls.
