PURPOSE: To obtain a coating for a projection screen which contains, as essential components, a glitter, a dispersing agent, a thixotropic agent and a resin for coating and can form the reflection layer independently from the base material and the area to be coated, as any degree of brilliance can be selected from the low to the high with good light diffusion properties. CONSTITUTION: This coating comprises, as essential components, 100 pts.wt. of a resin for coating (preferably an acrylic urethane resin); 1-150 pts.wt., preferably 10-100 pts.wt. of a glitter (for example, aluminum pigment, pearl pigment, graphite or calcite); preferably 1-50wt.%, based on the glitter, of a thixotropic agent (preferably an amide or bentonite compound) and a dispersion agent (preferably mica powder or silica powder of 0.005-100μm particle sizes).
