PURPOSE: To make it possible to supply fine-quality water for drinking without interrupting the supply of living water by connecting a membrane filter device having a sepn. membrane, water feed equipment pipelines and a fine-quality water housing tank, respectively, to a service water introducing pipe and connecting fine-quality water feed equipment to this water tank. CONSTITUTION: Stop valves 9, 11 are respectively opened and stop valves 12, 13, 21 are respectively closed to supply a city water from a second pipeline 6 through the service water chamber 15 of the membrane filter device 3 to a feed water distribution pipeline for the living water. The city water is permeated through the sepn. membrane 2 specified in sepn. grain size to <=10μm and is passed as fine-quality water to a fine-quality water chamber 16 where the fine-quality water is collected into a fine- quality water housing container 4; thereafter, the fine-quality water is supplied by a pump 23 to a fine-quality water supply pipeline 24. The stop valves 9, 11, 18 are thereafter respectively closed and the valves 12, 13, 21 are respectively opened, by which backword washing water is forcibly fed from the fine-quality water housing container 4 through a backward washing water feed pipeline 19 to the fine-quality water chamber 16, by which the impurities sticking to the sepn. membrane 2 is removed and the sepn. membrane 2 is regenerated.
