PURPOSE: To increase the feed speed of a recording material in a color thermal recording apparatus using a color thermal recording material wherein at least three thermal color forming layers developing different colors and different in thermal recording sensitivity are provided on a support and at least two thermal color forming layers have light fixing properties by ultraviolet rays having wavelength regions respectively peculiar to two layers. CONSTITUTION: Corresponding to the number of the heating resistors 5 to which a current is supplied at the same time of a thermal head in one line in the main scanning direction of a color thermal recording apparatus, the feed speed of a color thermal recording material in a sub-scanning direction and the rotational speed of a platen and a pair of paper feed rollers 15 are controlled by a control part 7 through the motor driver of a drive motor to be made variable. The voltage supplied to the heating resistors 5 of the thermal head is made variable by a thermal head voltage control part 6. By this constitution, a printing time is shortened and the supply power of a power supply to the thermal head is reduced in capacity. |
