The control device 5 forms a fuel adjustment signal ti from these signals. A measure quantity from the target value against an average deviation of a lambda actual value is formed at the time of throwing of the lambda control and a correction quantity is increased in the case where the average lambda actual value is larger than the target value. The correction quantity is reduced in the case where the average lambda actual value is smaller than the target value. Thus, an adaptation to an actually required measure quantity of the concentration control can be automatically realized.
