<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a trap by which the leakage of exhaust gas from portions other than a filter part is surely prevented and vibration proofing property after fitting to a container is sufficiently secured, and also which has a filter inexpensively manufactured and is excellent in all the performance, durability, cost and power consumption during collected particulate combustion and regeneration. CONSTITUTION: An inner cylinder 4 and an outer cylinder 5 are made of a three-dimensional mesh structure consisting of a heat resistant metal skeleton having a communicating hole. At the end parts of the inner cylinder 4 and the outer cylinder 5, compression parts having >=15vol.% metal part 4a, 5a are made, and end plates 6, 7 and a bracket 9 are welded thereto to make a filter element. In this way, welding of connected parts is performed without trouble, and since strength of the compression parts 4a, 5a is increased, a filter element resistant to vibration during vehicle traveling and a trap of high practicability is realized.</p> |
