PURPOSE: To prevent feeling of a gear shift shock by a method wherein slide is provided so that a change gear ratio established by one frictional engagement element holds the predetermined degree of rotation and a clutch is disengaged before a slide is improved along with the increase of an oil pressure fed to the other frictional engagement element, and an oil pressure fed to the other is increased with a time. CONSTITUTION: A gear shift command is outputted, and an input shaft rotation speed NM exceeding a preset value of a gear change ratio decided by a clutch on the disengagement side is provided, and during a time between a current point of time and a shift gear starting point A, the feed oil pressure of the clutch on the disengagement side is slightly reduced and a given amount of slide is provided. A clutch pressure is controlled so that transmission torque is Tt=Toff and Tt<Ton+Toff during a time between a gear shift starting point A and a point of time t0. This constitution provides a change gear ratio decided by clutches on the disengagement side and on the engagement side, especially an input shaft rotation speed NM exceeding a scheduled value on the disengagement side and achieves it by sliding a clutch. As a result, prompt transfer to an inertial phase not through a torque phase is practicable. |
