METHOD FOR PREVENTING POLLUTION DUE TO COCCIDIUM AND AGENT FOR PREVENTING POLLUTION DUE TO COCCIDIUM

PURPOSE: To prevent pollution of cattle shed due to coccidium without fear leaving in a product of livestock by orally administering a bacterial cell belonging the genus Clostridium (e.g. Miyairi bacterial cell) into livestock. CONSTITUTION: A bacterial cell (e.g. Miyairi bacterial cell) belonging to the genus Clostridium is directly used or diluted with a proper vehicle and administered into livestock. The bacterial cell may be added to feed or beverage for livestock and the feed or beverage may be administered into the livestock. The bacterial cell is preferably added to the feed so that number of bacterial cell may become 10<4> to 10<7> /g feed. Thereby, evacuation of coccidium oocyst from the livestock is decreased and contamination of cattle shed due to coccidium can be prevented. The bacterium cell belonging to the genus Clostridium may be used also in a state of live bacterial cell or dead bacterial cell. The Miyairi bacterial cell is obtained by culturing Clostridium butyricum MIYAIRI.
