PURPOSE: To remarkably increase register regulation precision and reliability by deciding the line width of image information sent from a treating device for decomposing image information into three primary colors of red, blue and green and controlling a register regulating device in accordance with the obtained register error amount. CONSTITUTION: A standard line for register between colors is optically read by an optical type read device 1. Obtained image information is sent to a treating device 2. Herein, image information sent from the read device 1 is decomposed into three primary colors of red, blue and green and converted into image information of the standard line for register between colors of magenta, cyan and yellow. This image information is sent to a controlling device 3. Therein, the line width of image information sent from the treating device 2 is decided and register error amount is obtained according to it. A register regulating device 4 is controlled in accordance with the register error amount. |
