摘要 PURPOSE: To provide a control device for a clutch for a fluid coupling which is so constituted as to suppress transmission of a rotation fluctuation and a torque fluctuation to a car body as much as possible as durability of a damper clutch and a fuel reduction effect by rest cylinder operation are ensured. CONSTITUTION: When an engine 1 is operated in a rest cylinder permission region, a TCU 6 performs control of a slip according to a slip direct coupling control area enlarged compared with a rest cylinder non-permission region, and meanwhile, even in a slip direct coupling control area, when an engine load is low, complete direct coupling control is effected. This constitution, even when the rotation fluctuation and the torque fluctuation of the engine 1 occur, prevents the fluctuations from transmission to an automatic transmission due to the slip of a damper clutch 28 and prevents vibration of a car body. Further, since complete direct coupling control is effected during low load running wherein generating torque of the engine 1 is low, durability of a clutch and reduction of fuel consumption can take place without damaging a riding feeling.
