PURPOSE: To avoid rear wheel steering outside the range of small steering angles at the time of medium-high vehicle speed so as to enable stable running of a vehicle by limiting the steering control in such a manner that when vehicle speed is a designated value or more, the rear wheels are steered in the steering direction limited within the range of small steering angles. CONSTITUTION: A third switch (a) in a steering angle limit unit 5 is controlled according to a signal from a vehicle speed sensor 1, and under the low speed condition, the switch is turned on, so that an electric current can be applied to the DC motor 4 in both counter directionsα,β. Accordingly, under the low speed condition, large steeringangle control is conducted without limiting steering of the rear wheels. On the other head, under the medium-high condition, the third switch (a) is turned off, current-carrying of the DC motor 4 is disabled. At this time, an electric current is applied to the DC motor 4 through first and second switches b1, b2 turned on and off according to a signal from a rear wheel steering angle sensor 2. The first and second switches b1, b2 are respectively turned on only withint the range of small steering angles to apply an electric current to the DC motor 4 in both directionsα,β. |
