PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To a reducing apparatus which consumes less energy and gives better performance compared with a conventional reducing apparatus. SOLUTION: This reducing apparatus 1 is provided with a spiral-shaped housing 3 in which a carrier member 4 is rotatably mounted. The housing 3 has an opening 8 arranged its upper surface 5 for feeding objects 2 for shredding and an opening arranged in its side surface 7 for discharging shredded material and the carrier member 4 has a number of anvils 12 co-acting with the cutting edge. |
