METHOD FOR TRANSANAL RESECTION OF STRAIGHT INTESTINE

FIELD: medicine; surgery. SUBSTANCE: method for transanal resection of the straight intestine involves creation of a nonstriated muscle collar in the rectoanal anastomosis area. The distal parts of the straight intestine are removed together with the inner sphincter. A nonstriated muscle clamp is formed proximal of the resection line by cutting out two serous muscle flats from the mobilized straight intestine wall above the tumor. The flats are fixed with two sutures circular round the wall of the skeletonized part of the straight intestine, and the rectoanal anastomosis is formed. EFFECT: higher efficacy.
