PURPOSE: To eliminate the possibility of the disposal of remaining ink and the interruption of recording caused by replacement by letting know that the exhaustion of the ink in an ink container is near in two stages of proximate and immediately-before states. CONSTITUTION: A receiving plate 5 is in contact with the bottom surface of a case 1 over its entire surface at an initial stage. When the total wt. of an ink container is reduced accompanied by the consumption of ink and the total wt. moment thereof exceeds the spring force of a spring plate 6, the receiving plate is inclined from the bottom surface of the case 1 centering around a fulcrum to be raised and the free end part of the spring plate 6 rises corresponding to the rising of the receiving plate. Respective predetermined low and high positions are detected through a two-position sensor 10 having a bifurcated fixed lead metal fitting in the rising process of the free end part of the spring plate 6 and a state such that the exhaustion of ink is near can be let know in two stages (previous notice and final notice) of respective proximate and immediately-before states. |
