A system and process for evaluating images are disclosed, according to which a differential image, which is obtained from a digitized video signal from a monitoring camera and in which changing pixels are marked, is examined for coherent pixels (objects) by an object extractor. The extracted objects are associated with stored objects of a preceding image and the object data recovered are then checked for relevance with respect to predetermined object features. If the object features are satisfied, a status signal is emitted. |
