Allows un-interrupted operation of at least one of the three lighting functions i.e. front and rear lights (14,15), braking light (31) and direction indicators (16,17). The current supply can be either internal or external to the unit. The left and right direction indicator lamps can either be single units or separately fitted to the front (29,30) and rear (18,19) of the bicycle. Options are a manually operated switch to allow the system to be turned on and off, automatic switch-off when the bicycle has not moved for more than a certain time, a function switch to allow the user to decide whether or not continuous operation is required and automatic cancellation of the direction indicators after a set time.
