PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it passable to determine a transfer function of a connection system between a ventilator unit and respiratory system accurately. SOLUTION: The transfer function of a connection system 6 is determined before the system is connected to a respiratory system 8 to compensate for this influence of an occurrence of a breathing gas to the greatest extent within its possibility. A gas-flow with a specific pattern of gas-flow is generated in a ventilator unit 4 at high accuracy. A pattern of gas-flow which is influenced only by a connection system 6 and received consequently is measured in measuring unit 18, 20, 22 in the ventilator unit at high accuracy. |
