<p>A gear finishing device with a helical correction wherein a helical gear is supported for rotation on a table by a gear holding device and a tailstock, wherein a finishing grindstone is supported for rotation on a sliding device movable toward or away from a gear axis in a substantially perpendicular direction, and wherein the table and sliding device are reciprocated relatively to each other in the gear axial direction, the device being characterized in that the gear holding device comprises a driving motor for rotating a holding shaft for holding the helical gear and an adjustment driving device for rotating a motor drum holding the motor around the gear axis, whereby working is performed by delaying the peripheral velocity by an angle corresponding to the torsion angle of the helical gear in moving the helical gear and the finishing grindstone in the gear axial direction relatively to each other, to thereby realize a high-precision helical gear tooth form.</p> |
