A torch including a head with three cutting ports (8, 10, 20) in a row parallel to the forward direction (6), front heating ports (16) and side heating ports (26, 28). At least the hindmost cutting port (20) is connected to means for supplying high-pressure cutting oxygen, whereas the other cutting port(s) is (are) connected to means for supplying low-pressure cutting oxygen. The front heating ports (16) are arranged in an elongate group parallel to the forward direction (6) and coaxial with the row of cutting ports (8, 10, 20). The side ports (26, 28) are arranged in two groups and form the ends of parallel ducts (32) that are tilted towards the row of cutting ports.
