A product for protecting wood is prepared from birch wood with bark that is burnt to form an ash which is then mixed with water for slaking. Liquid is removed from the ash and birch sap is added, along with linseed oil and/or emulsifying oils and optional colour pigment.The preparation of this product using 1-2 l ash / l water, 1 l sap / 10 l ash/water mixture and 4 l oil / l base product is also claimed. |
