Installation procedure for railway tracks on solid foundations in tunnels or viaduct

The railway track is installed on a rigid support (54) consisting of slabs or foundations of reinforced concrete. Several slabs are aligned on the foundations following the required line. The sleepers (16) are aligned by positioning the blocks (18,19) in the housings (35,36) using elastic shoes (23,24). The sleepers and the slabs are adjusted separately to give the right height by adjusting the distance between the foundations and the shoes and the slabs. These gaps are filled with mortar. Prefabricated sections may then be added for safety rails, rails for trams or to provide acoustic insulation.
