The lock comprises a bolt and a lock device, having a baseplate with a locating slot for the bolt. Two locking plates pivot and are connected to the baseplate. One plate controls the bolt, and the second one controls the first plate. A bolt restraint pivots via a shaft with the baseplate, and a tensioning device acts on the first backing plate and also on the bolt restraint. The pivoting shaft for the bolt restraint is positioned on the rear of the bolt locating slot, so that the contact edge of the bolt restraint presses against a front side of the bolt.
