Mfg. method of transformer winding end leads insulation

The mfg. method is for fabricating insulation for winding terminal leads, with outgoing cables connected from the power transformers and in which the winding terminal or end leads lie in the HV field. The conducting expandable band starting in the region of the screening ring is wound onto the conduction insulation (2) of the terminal lead wires, with a certain amount of overlap. During later stages of mfr. of the insulation, involving pressboard packing, the terminal or end lead under the expandable band is made more rounded in cross-section to a given diameter.
