The flasher circuit has the supply side of the flashers connected to the primary of a current-current converter to produce a small current in a secondary circuit which is earthed through a fixed resistance (RK). The voltage drop across the fixed resistance is measured by a monitoring circuit to compute a corresponding total current in the primary circuit. This is compared with a reference value to determine if all the indicators are operating. The control circuit provides a universal fitting for vehicles. The required reference value for the total current is programmed into the circuit for each vehicle type. If a trailer is attached to the vehicle a sensing circuit detects the trailer and changes the reference value accordingly.
