A cleaning compsn. concentrate contains: (a) 0.5-8.0 wt.% 5-12 C alkyl sulphate salt; (b) 4-15% solubiliser; (c) 4-10% alkanolamine; (d) 0.005-0.1 Anson units/g of concentrate of a commercial proteolytic enzyme;(e) the usual acids or bases to adjust the pH; (f) complexers; (g) preservatives; and (h) the remainder water. Also claimed is use of 0.5-100 (pref. 1-5) wt. % aq. soln. of the above concentrate, with pH 7.5-10 (pref. 8-9), at room temp. to 55 (pref. 40-50) deg C, for 2 secs. to 20 mins. (pref. 0.5-5 mins.), followed by rinsing and opt. heat disinfection.
