Remote diagnosis of power supply in electrographic printer or copier

A remote diagnosis system by which the surface of faults is indicated on the outside of the copier uses function elements (CW) within the supply equipment (N1, N2, Nn) to analyse faults. This data is registered on data-receivers (CAN1, CAN2, CANn) which are coupled through a bus system (CANBUS) to a data receiver (CAN4) on the remote diagnosis unit (DM). According to the information received this can be used to trigger an emergency supply (UW). It may also be linked to a server unit (BF) and/or a modem (MO)
