Long life coil spring mfg. process

In a process for mfg. coil springs, heat treated and cold hardened spring strip of constant cross-sectional geometry is tempered for aging purposes and then subjected to deformation subdivided into four zones, i.e. an initial zone (A) of low radius of curvature, a work zone (B) of larger radius of curvature, an outlet zone (C) of even larger radius of curvature and an end zone (D) of radius of curvature similar to that of the initial zone (A). Pref. a transition of 2-4 windings is provided between the individual zones.
