The gas delivery pistol has a regulating device for steady metering of the gases with the aid of a discharge lever. The metering capability of the gas or air is controlled to give a constant gas - air mixture or may be controlled to give constant pressure. Other types of control may be used. The front end of the pistol has a coupling for holding tools for conversion of the gas forces to useful power.
