A separating holder for bus-bars in electrical bus-bar fields and switchboards comprises an essentially H-shaped holder body 1 with parallel side pieces 3, 4 joined by a cross piece 5. On the top of the crosspiece are a number of upwardly open slots 6 for bus-bars, mutually separated by separating elements 7. To connect the holder body 1 to other corresponding holder bodies in directions parallel to and/or perpendicular to the side pieces 3, 4, engagement elements are configured in the shape of pins or knobs 8, 9, 13 and recesses 10, 11, 14 receiving the pins or knobs both on the outside of the side pieces 3, 4 of the holder body 1 and at the free ends of the separating elements 7, as well as at the bottom edge of a wall element 12 projecting downward from the bottom of the crosspiece 5 of the holder body 1. The engagement elements on the side pieces 3, 4 situated opposite each other and the engagement elements on the separating elements 7 and the wall element 12, respectively, have mirror symmetry. <IMAGE>
