Provided is a portable information processing apparatus that can be employed with an overhead projector (OHP). A portable information processing apparatus according to the present invention comprises: a main body having a keyboard on an upper face; a lid having an internally mounted liquid crystal display panel and being hinged rotatably with the main body at the rear edge of the main body; and a tilting mechanism for positioning the front edge of the main body further from an OHP surface than its rear edge, thereby to reduce heat radiation problems.
