PURPOSE: To provide a new gene coding for a superantigen having a specific base sequence and useful for the genetic diagnosis and the production of vaccine for infectious diseases with enteric bacteria Yersinia pseudotuberculosis causing abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomit, etc. CONSTITUTION: This new gene coding for a superantigen having a base sequence of formula is useful for the mass-production of superantigen by genetic engineering technique. The superantigen is useful for the genetic diagnosis and the production of vaccine for infectious diseases with enteric bacteria Yersinia pseudotuberculosis causing abdominal pain, diarrhea, vomit, etc., to man. The gene is produced by separating a genom DNA from Yersinia pseudotuberculosis(YP) by conventional method, subjecting the DNA to PCR amplification with 5' sense primer and 3' antisense primer composed of a DNA coding for a part of the amino acid sequence of YP superantigen and cloning a gene coding for YP superantigen. |
