<p>PURPOSE: To produce waterproof shoes which are-simple in instep preparation and excellent in waterproofness. CONSTITUTION: The instep cover 1, which intermediately has a waterproof layer 13 between the instep right side 11 and coarse instep backing 12, is opposed to the insole 2 covered with coarse cloth 21, while the coarse instep backing 12 is also opposed to the coarse cloth 21 covering the insole 2. Thus, the instep 0 is prepared with a French seam 10. The sole 5 is molded by suspending the instep 0 in a last 3 and injecting the material to be molded to the sole in a sole-molding cavity 4, which is formed on the lower surface of instep O. In addition, the material to be molded to the sole is partially solidified in the French seam 10 by having it permeate the coarse instep backing 12 and coarse cloth 21 covering the insole 2. Thus, the French seam 10 is sealed by a seal 6 between the instep cover 1 and insole 2.</p> |
