PURPOSE: To call one slave machine from a master machine for self-management and a master machine for public and to enable the slave machine to respond to required calls from respective master machines. CONSTITUTION: A slave machine 2 detects the presence or the absence of synchronizing bursts transmitted from plural master machines 1A to 1C through reception slots with different time periods. When it is judged based on the discrimination code included in the synchronizing burst that this synchronizing burst is destined for the slave machine itself, the slave machine returns the synchronizing burst, to which the discrimination code of the slave machine itself is added, to the master machine side through the transmission slot, which is placed a prescribed number of slots after the reception slot where the synchronizing burst is received, to settle the synchronism. The discrimination code of the master machine in the received synchronizing burst is stored in relation to the reception slot, and thereby, one slave machine can originate and terminate calls passing plural master machines.
