PURPOSE: To reduce contamination possibility during treatment which occurs due to long length of a guide wire, by inserting the guide wire to the inner cavity of the catheter from a head hole of the catheter having a side hole, and pulling out the guide wire outside the catheter through the side hole of the catheter. CONSTITUTION: A hollow guide needle 1 is made to penetrate a body cavity 2, and thereafter a guide wire 3 which has enough length to assist insertion of a catheter 4 is delivered into the body cavity 2 through the inner cavity of the guide needle 1. Then, the guide needle 1 is removed with the guide wire 3 remained in the body cavity. Secondly, the guide wire 3 is inserted to the inner cavity of the catheter 4 from the head edge hole of the catheter 4, the guide wire 3 is drawn out through the side hole 6, and the guide wire 3 is fixed by grasping a grasping part 7 of the guide wire 3, and the catheter 4 is introduced into the body cavity along with the guide wire 3. Then, the guide wire 3 is removed after the catheter 4 is processed into the desired position. |
