PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance elevator performance during an ascending peak period, and to cause an elevator car to make efficient dual lobby running in a building. SOLUTION: An elevator system is provided to perform ascending peak running in a building having a dual lobby. This system includes controllers 30 and 32 having electronic processors combined with a memory, a plurality of elevator cars 1 to 4 controllably connected to the controllers, and a dual lobby routine stored in the memory. The dual lobby routine includes an instruction for starting at least one of the elevator cars to a lower lobby during an ascending peak time, the step of instructing a specified sector to the car, the step of pushing the car with the lower lobby time-out, the step of starting the car to an upper lobby if a load threshold value is not exceeded, and the step of instructing the specified sector to the car when the car is at the upper lobby. |
