PURPOSE: To provide a cold storage material for cryogenic use inexpensive industrially and a cold storage apparatus using the same which enable the setting and maintenance of a gap between particles of a cold storage substance stably and easily and also maintenance of the performance of the cold storage apparatus for a long time. CONSTITUTION: This cold storage material for cryogenic use comprises a particulate body of a cold storage substance having a specific heat exceeding 0.1J/cm<3> K at the temperature of below 30K.
