<p>PURPOSE: To efficiently adsorb HC in an exhaust gas at a low temp. and to enhance HC releasing peak temp. as much as possible. CONSTITUTION: The HC adsorbent for purifying the exhaust gas is formed by loading a prescribed quantity of a coking preventive noble metal (e.g. one or more kind of metal selected from among platinum, palladium, rhodium, ruthenium and iridium) on a zeolite and heat-treating it at 850-950 deg.C for <=80hr.</p> |
