DEVICE AND METHOD FOR GRAPHICAL PROCESSING

PURPOSE: To easily discriminate elements on a screen without any complicated operation by automatically selecting the color which is easiest to discriminate out of unused colors and coloring elements. CONSTITUTION: An in-use color detection part 8 allows an operator to refers to arrangement of colors on the screen of a drawing being edited and detect colors used on the present screen. Then an in-use color list part 9 secures the detected color information together with its color name and value of RGB. Colors which are defined in a secondary storage device 5 and not used on the present screen are secured at a nonuse list part 10 together with their color names and values of RGB. Then an emphasized color selection part 11 detects the easiest-to-discriminate color in the arrangement of colors on the screen by referring to the color information secured at the in-use color list part 9 and obtaining its color information. Then a color display part 6 emphasizes and display elements by using the selected color.
