PURPOSE: To provide a method and apparatus for injecting resin in a high yield using pellets with an appropriate shape which are available easily from the market. CONSTITUTION: A resin injection apparatus 10 has molds 12, 14 which are separable from each other. A cylindrical pot 16 is formed in the mold 12, and resin pellets 20 packed in the pot 16 are melted by heating to be extruded by a main plunger 18. A long-hole-shaped sub-runner 22 is formed in the mold 12. The sub-runner 22 communicates with the pot 16 and is filled with a molten resin extruded by the main plunger 18. A long-hole-shaped main runner 28 and more than one gate 34 extending perpendicularly to the main runner 28 are formed in the mold 14. A gate plunger 30 moves forward or backward in the main runner 28, and a gate 34 is operated by the gate plunger 30. |
